WITH REGRET WE ANNOUNCE THE SAD PASSING OF DANNY HARRIS

Fleur De Lys Rfc

Danny Harris
The Man, The Myth, The Legend
We would like to offer Carol and Family our deepest condolences for their very sad loss
Danny was a one-off, a true athlete and winner. He would never take a backward step. A great footballer who started out playing for Warne St. Blue Birds. Who
At the time played up Barnett’s Field, Fairview, before they moved to down to Trelyn Park. Being a great footballer meant Danny scored goals for fun and wasn’t afraid to intimidate his opponents!
In the 70’s , Danny joined Fleur Rugby and what a great asset and player he became. A true character. But in true Danny style, his character often got him into a lot of trouble with the Committee, eventually getting himself banned from the club. The Club back then was run from Fleur-de-Lys Institute. That’s was Flowers loss, as Danny went on to join Cefn Fforest, who he helped turn into an excellent rugby side, with his winning attitude.  Danny also captained Cefn at one time.
Danny was a special son of Flower and Cefn Fforest, and will be sadly, and truly, missed by all.
Gabriel look after him when he comes through those gates, but you will no doubt , have your hands full !

R.I.P Danny, The Legend..
Love from all at Fleur-De-Lys RFC
